- River Bassin’ Secrets to Success – Rivers and creeks are different animals when it comes to bass fishing. There are so many different ways to approach them and figure out how the bass in each one tend to feed. Drew will share his proven river fishing basic strategies that work in any moving water scenario, in any part of the country. If you’re a river angler, or desire to be, this is a seminar you will not want to miss.
Most know Drew from his recent national tournament successes – 2022 Bassmaster Kayak AOY & 2020 Hobie BOS AOY. Since shifting focus to tournaments in 2020 he’s now fished over 50 national events, which have resulted in an average finish of 14th, out of an average field size of 140 (top 10%).
However, before tournaments and Drew were synonymous he was pioneering river kayak fishing as early as 2004. He coined the term “river bassin” for those that share his moving water passion. In 2010 he was the first kayak angler to have a signature series design, and today his latest design with Crescent Kayaks (the Shoalie), has again set a new standard in kayak design.
More recently, here in 2024, he’s getting attention for his new Kayak Adventure Series presented by GoPro, a national tournament series that, like his kayak designs, may very well change the sport forever given its unique format. The series is welcoming to all types of kayaks and kayak anglers, and boasts a festival complete with food, games, kids zone, kayak demos, Toyota truck demos, merch tents and Closing Ceremonies are held in historic theaters where angler’s videos are played on the “big screen!”
