Ish Monroe, a Bassmaster Elite Professional Angler, has been fishing since he was a little kid. Growing up, his angling heroes were Larry Nixon and Kevin VanDam. “Nixon was stomping everybody when I was getting into it, and he was a worm fisherman. VanDam’s confidence is incredible,” said Ish.
His first tournament was at the age of 16, and he came in third. He was “hooked.” Today, Ish has more than 32 Top Ten finishes in his B.A.S.S. career, with no plans to quit anytime soon.
