Joey Cifuentes is a Florida native but resides in Clinton, Arkansas and has for the past 25 years. After completing college baseball at Southern Arkansas University, Joey began his fishing journey. It all started with some college fishing and he quickly progressed his way to fish as a professional on the FLW Tour in just 3 short years out of college. Shortly thereafter, he began competing in the Bassmaster Opens, and qualified to be on the Elite Series. In his first season Joey not only won the Rookie of the Year title but also managed to bring home two blue trophies – with his first win on Lake Seminole in Georgia and his second on Lake St. Clair in Michigan. He is an avid outdoorsmen as well and enjoys bow hunting the most. When Joey is away from the water he manages a cattle farm in North Central Arkansas with his brother-in-law. Joey has two young daughters, Stella and Jovi, and is going on 9 years of marriage to his currently very pregnant wife Gwendlyn Cifuentes.
“My mission is to be the most respectable, reliable, hardest working athlete in my sport not only on the fishing side but for the individuals I represent.”
